POLAR BEAR RUN - ABATES Annual Fundraiser

Event date:
Sun, 03/10/2024 - 9:00am

ABATE's annual fundraiser is our main event, supporting our Sacramento lobbyist and biker rights advocacy. As a 501(c)(7), we rely on donations for motorcycle safety education. This year's event starts at Reseda Moose with breakfast, followed by a 60-70 mile ride to Canoga Park Elk’s for burgers. We'll have a 50/50 draw and prize tickets. The Elk’s start cooking early, usually ready before 9:30 am.

ABATE hosts its annual fundraiser, the sole event of its kind, aimed at supporting our lobbyist in Sacramento who tirelessly advocate for biker rights. This fundraiser is essential for meeting our financial commitments. We operate as a 501(c)(7), relying on contributions from our supporters to disseminate information on motorcycle safety and education.

None of our officers receive any compensation. This year, the impact of both Sacramento and local laws on our rights is particularly evident, with issues such as speed cameras, lane restrictions, and noise regulations coming to the forefront.

The event kicks off at the Reseda Moose located at 17751 Saticoy St., with registration from 9-11 am. The Moose will be serving breakfast burritos and coffee to fuel participants for the 60-70 mile ride, which includes several stops. The ride concludes at the Canoga Park Elk’s, where a satisfying burger plate awaits hungry riders.

Participants can also look forward to a 50/50 draw and opportunities to win prizes with ticket purchases. Prizes for the highest and lowest hands will also be awarded.

The Elk’s are well-prepared, beginning the cooking process the night before. While the exact timing may vary, they were ready before 9:30 am last year. We'll confirm the precise timing closer to the event.

Open Event: This event is open to Chapter members, National H.O.G. members and other guests as desired.
